Well it did rain, but I didn't hear any thunder, I finally managed some sleep at about 1pm after crying baby's and numerous trips to the loo! Wake up time this morning 4.59am! That's when I heard my kids stirring so a trip to the loo with them and back to the tent, but they were not having it and going back to sleep when it's daytime! It was just far to light, so at 6.20am i made myself a cup of tea as quietly as I could while answering what feels like hundreds of question on a really wide variety of topics while my eyes felt like they were bleeding. I headed off to stand in the toilet block and charge my phone then back for a bit of pre breakfast knitting which took me through the next hour till I felt like it's a more civilized time to cook breakfast
After the first day of almost none stop rain, where we just stayed around the Haven site and went to various activity's, craft club, messy play and a puppet show.We went swimming and played in the arcade. We were lucky it stopped raining so we could cook the tea! as we have no outside cover.
Next day after a good nights sleep we went out to explore, we visited the Lakeland and Haithawaite Train line, so Alex and Fred were in train heaven!
Back to the tent for tea and i had to take a picture of this! Ewan after washing up!!!
all the kids have jobs when camping and washing up is between Molly and Ewan
After so much rain and being confined in a 2m x2m living area with 4 kids while it rained,we made the most of it when it didn't. This is the bit i have really enjoyed about camping just being able to sit for a while and watch the kids having so much fun.
So after this trip we decided camping was for us, i had wanted a caravan for years, but with no space to store one we decided to get a bigger tent!
Cheers to that!
