Christmas 2018

Christmas is officially over, its the 12th day and this morning i have taken down the tree and all the decorations, cleaned and tidied up. I did keep one set of lights out, that my mum gave me to put round the mirror, just to brighten the place up.
This Christmas has definitely been the most laid back and relaxed Christmas i have ever had and to be honest it needed to be, after another busy year we were both completely burn't out. So PJ days, long lie ins and just not going out have been the order of the days.

Before Christmas i got together with some friends for a really fun pajama party,we drank has a laugh and played party games.

Just before Christmas i went to a conference in London with a colleague, and as we went down the night before got to the Leicester Square Christmas Market again like last year.
I just love the lights hanging from the trees.

Molly started quilting a Snowman Stocking, we haven't finished it yet, but it was nice to think that it was a quilting lesson at school when i was her age that started me crafting, but of course Molly has had a head start and already makings some wonderful things. She has been learning to crochet and i have promised to make more time for me to teach her.

Paul and i had our yearly outing!!!
We went to the Johnny Cash Roadshow, it was fab.

On the Friday before Christmas it was Pauls work day/night out and the kids last day at school so we had our own little party night, complete with retro party games. Musical chairs, statues and bumps. Even Ewan decided to join us!

I folled it with a nice drink, looking at the tree and listening to music, it was very cosy.

Molly and me to a trip to the Opera House to watch the Wizard of Oz and before that we had dinner out and a trip to Build a Bear to choose her own, which was part of her Present.

Christmas even and they were all quite chilled out in there new pajamas.
We watched some telly and did a small bit of prep from the next day.

Christmas day arrived!
The house was chaos...but good chaos.
Fred woke up at 2am..3am..4am..you get the drift!  we got up at 6.30am in the end
This is really the best bit for me, while the little ones still believe (and possibly Molly)

My Parents came round for Christmas dinner and we had our usual slow cooked lamb then Sticky toffee pudding for afters.

We all had a good sleep after a long busy day xx
