September

Autumn is starting to arrive, the nip in the air is creeping in. For the last couple of weeks i have been knitting Fred and Alex new hats for the winter and i want to start one for Molly too, ready for all the wintry walks and outing, Halloween and bonfire night,i just get so excited this time of year, i can't help myself. For most people January is the start of the year, but September has always felt more like a fresh start to me, a time to take on new projects. This time last year i was starting college and getting ready to go back to work as Fred had started school. I finished my college courses, passing them both, my Diploma in working with Children and Young People and i got my C in GCSE Maths. I felt very proud of myself considering how busy i have been the last six months and all the other things i have achieved this year. I am sad though that i have decided not to carry on and start the Degree course this year, becoming a Councillor as well as having a full time job and a family means that i will just not have the time to spend on it, so its on the back burner for now and i will see what happens in the future, but it was sad to see most of the others in my class all signing up.

It is nice to have some more times for my crafting again and i have just ordered some new supplies, to try out some new crafts with the kids.

I have started a CAL and for this one it will all be in one colour, its strange for me as i love the bright colour ways but this one was all one colour and i thought it would be nice, i am already 4 blocks behind but as i not very week this weekend and plan to rest (will see if that happens!) i might just get caught up.

Illuminasia

For a couple more this now I have been trying to post on my blog and have really struggled as it seems to take forever to up load pictures and even when I manage to do that the posts fail to publish for some reason. However just as I was thinking of giving up I have discovered various apps that can be used on my new phone, So after a bit of playing about I am hopeful that I have got the gist and will be able to continue with my blog, which I am glad about even if it's just for me as I enjoy looking back on  the things we have done

This weekend was a trip to illuminasia as it will be closing for good in a few weeks and as the last time we went was a couple of years ago I thought we should take the opportunity while we still can. You can see fro. The pictures it's a really bright and colourful exhibition that takes you around the world both real and magical. My favourite is the Land of the Giants and it reminds me of that old film honey  I shrunk the kids! We all really enjoyed it.
Ewan wasn't with us as he was at an activity centre with school it was a like a getting to know you and make friends with lots of the other year 7 kids. Which he really enjoyed.
