Family fun times

Just some  random pictures of some of the fun things we have got up to since the summer and i have not had time to blog. Even though this page is really just for me like a scrapbook ,i guess,i love looking back as some of the posts like an album and one of my new years resolutions will be to blog more often, along with many other things i don't seem to have time for anymore now our lives are so full and busy, but a bit more me time id really what i need.

This was Molly doing the boys hair!

We have done this a few times, film night and camp in the lounge, that night we watched Drop Dead Fred, the kids really enjoy some of the films i remember from being a kid

This was a jumper i knitted for Molly, its finished now so will post it soon

Always lots of crafting going on

Alex graduated from Nursery, the last one of ours to start school, no more nursery fees! ( i did actually feel very sad at the loss of the baby days!)

Alex's Costume for Roahl Dahl Day, the school even asked if they could use it for a display in the school, so we see it all the time know hanging on the wall

Drawing game, this went down well, Fred is really good at it

A trip to Parliament for a conference, it has been such privilege to go several times this year. The view from Westminster is amazing and i really do feel lucky to have had this chance

Our new hobby is diamond painting, we are all addicted even the boys, its so relaxing.

Awww, Alex's first day at school, he looks so tiny and Ewan looks so grown up!

A cake i made for a friend at work who became a UK Citizen, we had a little celebration for him.

Our usual September ourdoor film night, this time with a campfire!

We didn't sleep out but got the small play tent out to sit in

More Crafting

Rock painting, hiding and hunting has been a lot of fun this year, looking forward to more next year.

Camping in Chester

After our camping trips this year we decided we love camping and although i had always wanted a caravan, we decided camping would be better for us,so we set out looking for a new bigger family tent and as it was end of August the sales were on so we got this amazing new tent for half price.

The idea was that we would test it out on the field to make sure everything was there and then pack it away for next year.....but i was just too excited so found a last minute camp site in Chester for 2 nights over the bank holiday weekend.

So here it is our new 8 berth tent
The ground sheet is sewn in the main tent and an extra one for the porch which was ideal on this holiday s it rained alot!

The site was really busy and that first night it was really sunny and warm

The inside is massive and very empty, well this trip it was,i want to get some inflatable camping couches and i have already got a camping kitchen and camping cupboards that were reduced at aldi.

There are three, two person rooms at the back or you can make a larger room and a smaller room and another two person room at the side. The kids all prefered to sleep in the larger room together.

I really enjoy sitting out side as it goes dark, that first night it was very cold and the windows all steamed up. We couldn't use the fire pit the first night as the logs we took would not light as they were wet

It was a very rainy first morning, but we knew it would be and brought the table in the porch and we had a view unlike in the other tent which had no windows and no room to move about.

We decided to head off to Chester, to the Roman Museum.

By the time we got back the rain had stopped and we had got some wood for the fire

We could cook our tea outside and have some toasted Marshmallows

The best bit is sitting outside by the fire as it goes dark
