Arts & Crafts Show

There is an Annual Flower, Arts and Crafts Show near me and for the last few years i have always meant to enter, but never have. This year i put it on the calendar and decided this is the years we actually do!

We got a programme of the event and decided what we would enter.

The day before was quite dismal outside so it was nice to spend the day in the kitchen baking

Fred entered the Chocolate Crispie cakes, but we did a bit of a twist, we made them with Rainbow Drops and White Chocolate

Molly and Ewan both entered decorated cup cakes, but in different age groups

So that night we loaded all the cakes and other crafts in the car and headed to the venue to set the up. We had to leave them over night as the judging was first thing in the morning and we could not goback till 1pm. Whilst taking them in Molly dropped her cakes, she was so upset and she had done a fantastic job with them, we rescued them as best we could.

It was really exciting to wait all morning and as soon as we got back to the hall Molly and Ewan were off to see if they had won anything.

Molly got Second Prize for here arranged Fruits to form an animal

Ewan got First Prize for his Burger Buns!

Molly was super pleased to get First for her Fish Cakes, despite dropping them!

Fred came Third for his floating flower heads

And Fred got a Well Done for his Crispie Cakes

I entered my Star Wars Jumper, but got nothing...

Also i entered Stripy Blanket but again nothing...

But i entered a Lemon Drizzle Cake and Came Second!!!!!!
I was really surprised as it had not really been one of my best, but i am a fab baker so next year i am definitely entering all the baking classes!!

It was a really good couple of days and the kids were happy and they got a few pound for prize money, so they want to enter more next year. I loved looking at all the other entries and its given me so ideas for other crafts for me to do, to add to the huge list of things i already want todo!
