Birthdays & ebay

Molly will be 7 next week!!eekk not sure where those 7 years have gone. I have been busy the last few weeks planning her party, with 3 boys its nice to plan a girly party, we decided on a tropical theme as she wanted to have her friends round in the hot tub, so off to pinterest i went and came back with lots of ideas. My main worry was the state of our house it badly needed decorating the front room hadn't been done for over 4 years! and with little kids putting there sticky fingers all over the walls and bashing there toys into the skirting boards and the door frames, it was looking very grubby and chipped. So thats what spurred me on to paint the kitchen last week and then on Sunday i had a mad day and while Paul looked after the kids i repainted the lounge dining room and porch, it was like a 12 hour make over! It didn't take me that long as really i was just painting the same colour on the walls as had been there before,my lounge is magnolia with a bright purple feature wall that we both really like so no point changing it and every where else is white so easy enough. The porch we started redecorating a few months ago but Paul re papered half of it and then we ran out of the paper and couldn't get more, then the kids started picking at it and pulling it off,it wasn't meant to be, so on Sunday i whipped out and bought a paper that was just like a white washed brick wall not very imaginative but its only the porch and if the kids manage to get at it which shouldn't be a problem this time as i have made sure its well and truly stuck down, its no great problem as it was only £8 a roll.

So with that all done, all the things i have ordered for the tropical party have started being delivered. To be completely honest i went way over the top,but after looking at the pictures on pinterest then looking for decorations on ebay, there is just so many things to do and buy! Paul had a good laugh though when the hoola skirts arrived as they were minute and just about fit Alex despite them being described as fitting an adult size8-12, no way,but they were only 99p each, so what did i expect!

Molly helped me make the invitations, which look much better in real life than this picture but they are flip flops ( a pinterest idea!)

But ebay isn't all bad i did get Molly a fantastic Karaoke Machine for a fraction of the cost, which arrived today and me and the boys tried it out,i think it will be a big hit and great for the party!

So many more preparations yet including a big tidy of the garden! but so excited and looking forward to it, Molly really deserves it she is such a good girl x
