Bank holiday weekend

My Bank holiday started off like this...

Until these came in (so basically 5 minutes later!!)

Have to share my new bunting..well its stickers i got for just 49p ! bargain and i think they look great i have been after something fr the wall for months.

Then i made these. i have not had a full English breakfast at home for years.. or a very long time anyway

We then proceeded to do a massive and i mean massive house sort out, not a stone was left unturned, wardrobes, cupboards, hidyholes, loft, all the places that stuff accumulates, we got bags of stuff for charity and more for ebay (my job for today). It feels good to get rid of the clutter ( and make space for more!!!) I think its one of those seasonal jobs that unintentionally always gets done at that same times each year end of summer before Christmas, after Christmas ( close together but always needed) and Easter time and others as and when.

On the Monday, we went to B&Q to get some more bark for the Garden, as whilst i have been busy in the house Paul and Fred his helper for the weekend, who copied everything he did, have been busy making a bark play area at the end of the garden

Basically under and arounf the trampoline has just been a haven for weeds as there is no light under, no grass grows, and moving it every week to cut round it and moving all the other toys has been a nightmare for me, and causes my poor back lots of pain and makes it take twice as long (usually by the time i have finished cutting the grass it starts to rain and we have to go in rather than play out!) So whilst sat in the hot tub one night we formulated a plan to make the end full of bark, it will stop the weeds and all the big toys and sand pit etc will not need moving

Whilst we were in a gardening mood i moved some of the big plants that had out grown there pots to the boarder in that bad and barked around them so it looks neater

I got some cheerful and very pink and purple autumn bedding plants for in the back garden and in the now empty pots in the front garden. We thought they look really cute round the pink play house and Molly and Fred have been looking after them

We  now have plans for decking and artificial grass next year, as that will save me hours of time and after visiting a friend who had it, think it will be ideal for us.
Really this sudden interest in doing more than weeding and cutting the grass has been brought about by hours spent staring at the garden from the hot tub and plotting a nicer view

After all that hard work i put some burgers & sausage on the BBQ and we all piled in the hot tub

One more thing, have to show you my gorgeous new table cloth, my um gave me a pile of things and this was in there with some others, i just love it

Bye for now xx
