Chunky Poncho

In Wilkinsons a few weeks ago i came across the most gorgeous extra chunky yarn, it all my bright favorite colors, i bought a ball and took it home and sat pondering what it would become. On that day it was a bit chilly for the summer, and as i started to look through all favorites in Ravelry, i came across all the ponchos i had saved. Each Autumn i always think i wish i had made myself one for those September and October days when we like to walk on the beach or through the woods, and i think how cosy it would be, so that was it a decision was made ...and also a quick trip back to Wilkinsons to get more yarn before they ran out, which would be just my luck!

So over the last few weeks its been my easy crochet for while i am sat outside watching the kids or playing a game with them  or just not in the mood to concentrate, as the other project i am working on is my fair isle knit for Paul and i really don't want to mess it up, after what the wool has cost!

So here it is, not the best picture, but as i finished this a few weeks ago thought i should share finally!

I think it will be perfect for the chilly walk to school in the mornings.

I am also making another as i had bought 6 ball of Stylecraft Paintbrush that i had earmarked this pattern, but i have since found another pattern to have a go at, so will start that soon x

It might not be the most flattering garment on me but over all i am really pleased with it and looking forward to those snugly walks, or even just the school run or even sat on the couch on dark dismal evenings, Its amazing how i am looking forward to the Autumn so much, but those early dark nights and holing us up in the house have a real snugly warm appeal to me.
